Declan Glynn ’18 Passes

Declan Joseph Glynn, 18, died unexpectedly August 16. Warm, funny and bright, he dropped one-liners with the timing of a seasoned comic and delighted family and friends with impromptu songs. A 2018 magna cum laude graduate of Scott High School, Declan had a keen mind and a gift to build or fix things that interested him, and enrolled at the University of Louisville to study chemistry. Passionate about music, he loved 80s bands and taught himself to play drums and guitar in the past year. He had a wry sense of humor but never lost that innate sweetness he used to make many a crying baby or toddler smile. He loved dogs; his beloved Puig, Burbs and Dexter will miss their best guy. Declan will always be Joseph Rory and Meghan’s cherished son, adored brother of sisters Erin, Kelly and Mallory, treasured grandson and nephew and friend to many. While we know Declan is now in God’s provident care, he will be profoundly missed every day.
