The Alumni Association launched it’s program to recognize those Scott grads who have gone beyond the call of duty to improve lives and society. Our student Best of Scott winner is Tim Price. He is a 1984 graduate and founded the Luke Moeller Golf Outing (LMGO) over 14 years ago. Tim chooses 2 worthy families that have been affected by cancer and coordinates the golf outing to raise funds each year to help these families with their medical & life expenses. Tim took LMGO a step further by providing money, clothing & food to several school districts to kids that wouldn’t have anything unless donated by kind souls like Tim.
Our teacher Best of Scott winner is Todd Moody. Todd taught at Scott between 2007-2013. Todd totally changed the marching band program at Scott to again competing competitively. Mr. Moody impacted every student he taught; he encouraged & challenged students because he saw each of their potential. Students felt such a connection with Mr. Moody that most days you would find students sitting in his office before, during & after school just soaking up his advice about life in general.

The committee & Board plan on announcing Best of Scott winners each season; Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer. The awards will be given out at Homecoming each year. If you nominated someone, their nomination will be considered for subsequent awards. If you know anyone who you think deserves the Best of Scott award, please nominate them.
