Becky Melching Passes

Becky Giltner Melching, 58, of Edgewood, went to be with the Lord surrounded by friends, family, and her spouse on Friday, February 15, 2013 at her residence. She received her master’s degree in education from EKU, an accomplished seamstress, on the Kenton County School Board, was the EKU National Alumni President, was an admissions counselor for EKU, was inducted into the Scott High School Athletic Hall of Fame, was involved in the Children’s Home of Northern KY., known for her booster work, and taught at Bellevue, Turkeyfoot, Dixie, and Summitview. Predeceased by her father, Raymond Giltner, July 2, 1995. Survivors include her husband, Jeff Melching, two sons, Lance (Lindsay) Melching of Independence and Kyle Melching of Edgewood, her mother, Mary Jean Giltner of Ft. Wright, one sister, Mary Beth (Erv) Leidolf of Evansville, IN, and one grandchild, Liam Melching. Visitation 5-8 PM Tuesday, February 19, and 10-11 AM Wednesday, February 20, and the Funeral 11 AM Wednesday all at Lakeside Christian Church, 195 Buttermilk Pike, Lakeside Park, KY 41017.
