Peggy Hyde, who began teaching history at Scott High School during the 1980 school year, passed away after a 6 year battle with Cancer. She had retired from Scott in 2006 and was diagnosed shortly thereafter. The subsequent years were marked with good times and bad times as remissions occurred but more treatment was always required.
She helped with every Scott homecoming from 1980-2006 and her teaching was excellent. She will be missed.
Her visitation and funeral arrangements will be at Stith Funeral Home on US 42 in Florence on Thursday, January 3rd and Friday, January 4th. The visitation is from 5-8 pm and the funeral is at 11 am. The link will be added when it’s available.
